Bathroom Reveal

I am so excited to write this post! We have finished our half bath remodel and it looks like a whole new bathroom. I am so happy with the way it turned out. My husband is amazing for going along with all my design ideas and implementing them perfectly. He worked so hard on this room and I love it!

Here is what our bathroom looked like before.

The bathroom was livable. It had a working toilet and sink and was clean. But as far as style was concerned, it was far from mine. I had visions of clean, light, simple, and a touch of farmhouse charm.

We went back and forth on replacing the vanity or not, and ultimately decided it needed to go. New floors, paint, vanity, and a new toilet were all on our list for this bathroom project. I knew what I wanted and we got to work! By we I really do mean John. I helped some with the shiplap and trim, but other than that it was really a one person job. The room is so small only one person could be in there working comfortably at a time.

This is our half bath now.

I am so happy with the way it turned out! It is exactly how I envisioned it. I got my shiplap (happy dance) and it looks great!

It took me awhile to pick out the paint color and I love what we chose. We used Sherwin Williams Fleur De Sel. It's a perfect light grey that makes the room feel larger than it is.

We are going to replace our outlets and light switches so that they are white. We also have a new light fixture coming, it was delayed by about 3 months, and that will be the final touch.

I will link all of our items at the bottom of this post.

I will do another post going through the whole process, more of a step by step. I will also be doing a shiplap tutorial. This was our first time installing shiplap so we are no experts, but I will share how we did ours for anyone who is interested.

We had so much fun designing and doing this project ourselves. I'm excited to start our next project!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! I'm excited to share some Friday Favorites with you all! Let's get started!

1. I LOVE the Target dollar section. Let me to you! I don't know anyone who doesn't obsess over the adorable and inexpensive items in this spot. I have scored so many good deals here it's ridiculous!

I love the stationary there. It's always in season and perfect for my office or for grocery lists! For $3 you can't say no.

2. This is a non decor favorite but worth mentioning. Mrs. Meyers cleaners are the best. They sell them at, surprise surprise, Target and I love them! The scents are amazing and they don't contain any harsh chemicals, which I love. I recently got the hand soaps that are new for spring, lilac and peony. They smell so good!

3. I love decorating with cotton. It's a fresh look and it's so easy to incorporate into your existing decor because it's white. It goes with everything! I found mine at Hobby Lobby when it was 50% off, score! It's great for spring but can be used all year round. Cotton is a great way to incorporate farmhouse style in your space. It's so much fun to decorate with!

I hope this gave you some ideas and inspiration.

I will be sharing our bathroom reveal soon! I'm so excited to show you all the finished look! This was our first real complete demo project and I love the way it turned out! I will post that soon so be on the lookout! :)

Some New Pieces

Hey everyone! I hope your week is going well! I wanted to share a few new pieces I got this past week and show how I'm using them in my home.

Recently my mom, sister and I discovered the cutest home decor shop in Mansfield called The Rustik Market. We quickly became obsessed! This place is the perfect modern farmhouse shop. I want to buy everything item in that store. The owner carries a lot of the same items that Joanna Gaines does at Magnolia Market. If you are in the Mansfield area you have to check out this store. I will apologize to your wallet in advance.

I got this chicken wire vase and florals along with this wooden caddy and black votive holders from The Rustik Market. As you can see from these items, the store is spot on with the modern farmhouse trend.

This One Love sign is from Hobby Lobby for 50% off. I love shopping at Hobby Lobby. I always find something I love.

This Stay Awhile sign and blue vase are also from Hobby Lobby and both 50% off. I have been looking for a vase like this for a long time and was so excited to find it, and on sale! Win! And of course I love the Stay Awhile sign. It's the perfect addition to my little Rae Dunn display table.

Do you recognize that black votive? That's another one from The Rustik Market! I got three of them and two fit perfectly inside the wooden caddy so this one was perfect inside my glass lantern.

I love to get new items to change up my decor and create a fresh new space. It's fun to switch things up every now and then and bring in some new pieces. And when you get things half off, you can't say no!

Farmhouse Decor on a Budget

Farmhouse decor is so popular right now, but sometimes it can get expensive to buy some of the on trend items. I love to look for sales and I love a good deal. So I wanted to share some ways you can incorporate farmhouse style in your home without breaking the bank. I think everyone can appreciate getting the look for less! Here are some of my finds!

Each of these items are under $20 and are from Target, World Market, and Hobby Lobby. I love shopping at these places when I'm looking for farmhouse style decor. Hobby Lobby is one of my favorites because they have %50 off certain items each week. I love to browse the aisles looking for different pieces and I always find something I love.

A trend you see in a lot of these pieces I've picked is galvanized metal. This is an iconic farmhouse style material. Metal and wood are two things that scream farmhouse. Mix them, and you will have a beautifully decorated farmhouse style home.

I hope this gave you some inspiration and helped you see that you don't have to spend a lot of money to achieve this popular look.

Favorite Pillows from TJ Maxx

Happy Wednesday!

I have been on the hunt for some new pillows for the living room. We still have some Christmas pillows out, and yes, it's almost Valentine's Day. I love to shop at TJMaxx, Marshalls and Homegoods for pillows and other decor because they have some really unique things that you can't find just anywhere.

So, while I have pillows on the brain, I thought that I would share some that I found.

I am really loving texture lately. I love the fringe around the edges of some of these and the subtle texture of some others.

I love neutrals and I love color and these pillows have some of each. I wouldn't pair all of these pillows together, but individually they are perfect.

I hope this gave you some inspiration! I love switching out pillows for different seasons or when I just need a little change.

If you would like some help redesigning your space but don't want to change out your furniture or wall color, check out my e-design page! I have an option that is perfect for that! The accessories option is under the a la carte section and it is a great way to change up your space without spending too much! If you have any questions about that or any other service, don't hesitate to email me or leave a comment below!
