Style Nest Shop Coming Soon!

I am so excited to announce something that has been in the works for awhile. Style Nest Interiors will be adding an online decor shop!

I have been wanting to do this for awhile, and I finally did it! I am so excited! I don't have an exact date that the shop will go live, but it will be soon.

I don't want to give too much away, but the collection will feature neutral decor mixed with some fun spring colors. My decor style is modern farmhouse and I tried to tie that in as well, although that's not the only style I've included.

I will let you know when I know exactly when the shop will go live. And make sure you're following Style Nest Interiors on Facebook and Instagram because I will be announcing a grand opening sale!

I am so excited about the opening of this shop and I can't wait for you all to see it!

Pop of Pink

Happy Friday!

I wanted to share an easy way I've added a little bit of spring into our home. As you could tell from this post, I love pink for spring. I wanted to add touches of it into our home without going overboard. So I decided to add some throw pillows to add a little spring into our living room.

Pop of Pink

I got these pillows from World Market for 9.99 each. What a deal! They're really soft, almost a velvet, and the color is perfect.

Pop of Pink

I love the blush pink with our rug. It adds some nice color, while still staying pretty neutral.

I love changing out throw pillows to make a space feel different for each season. I may decide to add in some more pops of pink, but for now, these pillows are perfect!

Would you like some help transitioning into spring? Check out my e-design page to see all my storyboard options.

Universal Thread Review

There is so much talk going on about Target's new line, Universal Thread. I wanted to see for myself just how amazing it all was. So, I went to Target and tried on some items. Of course, I forgot to take pictures, but I do want to share my thought on a few things. Let's get into it!

1. Price

The price of most of the items is great! They have tees for $8 and some other tops for under $20. The jeans are around $24 and the jewelry is priced great! I got some earrings for $7.99 and I saw some necklaces for under $20. I would say the price of this line is great.

2. Variety

I would say there is a nice variety of items. They have casual items, such as tee shirts, but also have some dresses. They have shoes and handbags along with jewelry.

3. Style

I love the style of this line. It's casual and comfortable but still really stylish. They have some simple pieces like plain tees, but also more unique items. This tee was really cute and comfortable.

Universal Threads Tee

I love the simplicity of this line. They are practical items that are still fashionable and would go with a lot. That's important to me. I like to get things that I know will go with a lot. This line is great for that.

4. Quality

The items I tried on seemed to be pretty good quality, for the price. The jeans I tried on were about $24 so they aren't jeans you'll have forever, but for the price they seemed to be pretty good quality. They are really comfortable and fit well. I tried on these, these, and these. They were all comfortable and fit true to size. I will say the back seemed to be a bit lower so it may go down when bending down. Other than that I really liked them. They have a lot of different styles and fits and they all seem to be good quality.

5. Overall opinion

I really like this new line. I ended up getting a few tees and two pairs of earrings. I really like the line and I found a few other accessories and shoes I may have to get. I think the clothes are soft and comfortable. There were a few things I tried on and didn't like, either too short and too see through. But I love the tees. They are so soft and I like the colors they have. They also have different style of tees, which is nice. Overall I am very pleased.

I hope this was helpful! If you're thinking about trying this new line, I recommend giving it a shot!

Living Room Winter Makeover

I'm so excited to finally share our living room makeover! I mentioned previously that we were doing a small refresh to our living room, with a new couch and rug, and I'm finally finished!

I wanted to go with a relaxing vibe, with soft neutrals and blues. For winter, I also incorporated texture, instead of a lot of color. I wanted the room to feel comfortable and calming. Here is our living room now!

I love the way it turned out! This rug was one of my picks from this post, and I couldn't be happier with it! It's the perfect combination of blues, grays, and creams. It's really soft, too! It's not a super high pile, so it's not too plush, but it's so soft under our feet.

As for our Ikea sofa, we still love it! I talked about my first impressions of it here. We still love the look and feel of it. It's perfect for our living room.

For the wall behind the couch, I had a few things in mind, but I'm so happy I went with this layered gallery wall. It was easy and relatively inexpensive. Three of the photos are ones we took in California when we lived there, and then in Savannah when we went there on vacation. I love that the photos mean something to us. The middle picture was a DIY I did and I love the way it turned out. It was also really easy and inexpensive.

I'm so happy with the way this room turned out. I love light and bright spaces, and this is definitely that. I'm looking forward to adding pops of color in the coming seasons.

I hope you enjoyed seeing our living room makeover! If you have any questions about anything in the pictures let me know! I'd be happy to answer any!
